Hannibal is always a place of beauty.  Autumn’s colorful palate and winter’s grace are extremely special in America’s Hometown!

Hannibal’s famous bluffs, majestic river views, historic architecture, and exciting destinations take on a distinctive appearance during autumn and winter.

As the leaves change, the lush foliage transforms into a spectrum of bright colors. You can see the natural displays by exploring Hannibal’s beautiful parks, taking a relaxing stroll downtown, or driving on our scenic highways.

There are several exciting events planned each autumn, including the annual Folklife Festival, Living Dead Windows, and Hannibal Jaycees Halloween Parade.

Winter is filled with wonder, too. The Victorian Festival of Christmas takes place during the entire month of December. Festivities include the traditional lighting of the Christmas tree near the Mark Twain Boyhood Home and Museum, living windows displays, parades, visits with Santa, caroling, horse and carriage rides, historic home tours, and other events to celebrate the holidays. Festive wreaths and wonderful light displays fill the community, and the Mark Twain Memorial Lighthouse puts on a gorgeous light show every evening.
