Hannibal is a special place to experience artistic expression, including artwork in various mediums and live music performances.
Every second Saturday of the month, the Second Saturday Gallery Walk shines a spotlight on local artists. Their beautiful creations are displayed in art galleries throughout Historic Downtown Hannibal.
Hannibal is filled with amazing art galleries with one-of-a-kind creations, including Alliance Art Gallery, Gallery 310, Ol’ Blue Gallery, and the Hannibal Arts Council.


Each summer in Central Park, the Hannibal Arts Council’s Wild & Wacky Art Adventure gives youth the chance to let their artistic talents shine with themed projects. The Hannibal Arts Council hosts several events to cultivate young people’s creative spirit, including the Holly Jolly Workshop – where participants can create a festive array of ornaments, gifts, and holiday artwork.

The beat goes on all year with live music.
You can relax at comfortable pubs such as Main Street Wine Stoppe and Finn’s Food & Spirits to hear live music performed by talented local and regional artists.


The Y Men’s Club hosts the summertime Down by The River Concert Series. The Hannibal Jaycees present many “can’t miss” concerts throughout the year.

In the summer, the Hannibal Bar-B-Q Festival features two nights of live musical entertainment. The Mark Twain Boyhood Home & Museum hosts the free Music Under the Stars concert series from June through August, with performers taking the stage in Historic Downtown Hannibal from 7-9 p.m. each Thursday.

The Hannibal Rotary Club’s Harvest Hootenanny features live music in the autumn months. Other yearly traditions are packed with artistic expression and live music – including the Big River Steampunk Festival, Twain on Main Festival, and Folklife Festival.
