The Mark Twain Boyhood Home & Museum has teacher workshops every summer. Teachers from around the country come to Hannibal to learn about Mark Twain and create imaginative, fun lesson plans that are free to use! This is great way to explore some of those Mark Twain books you may not have read. It also lets you use some of Twain’s works in other ways!
Most Twain books can be found online at places like Project Gutenberg, which has over 60,000 classic books available for download for FREE! Free lesson plans AND free access to books? It doesn’t get much better than that!
Now that spring is upon us, it’s the perfect time to add some nature to your studies! Check out these study guides from the Mark Twain Cave & Campground properties. The information on rocks can be something you can easily use in your own back yard or neighborhood park!
If you are in Hannibal, the information about bats can come in handy at Sodalis Nature Preserve, which is the home of the Indiana brown bat.
