‘Mark Twain Live’ highlights wit and wisdom of Mark Twain
Experience “Mark Twain Live” by Jim Waddell or Peter Lebrón at Cave Hollow Theatre, located within the Mark Twain Cave Complex. Raconteur Jim Waddell reweaves yarns first spun by Mark Twain, the creator of some of our most treasured literature. This presentation has been lauded by Twainian scholars for its authenticity of deliverance and mannerisms. Performances Wed. – Sun. at 2 PM April – November. This live presentation conveys the spirit, wit, and fun-loving nature of the man that came to be known as “The Wild Humorist of The West”. The performance is approximately one hour of fact and fiction taken directly from the author’s speeches and writings. It presents a rich and colorful account of nineteenth century life as America emerged from a rollicking frontier.
About the Performers:
Jim Waddell brings over 30 years of professional experience to bear in his portrayal of the celebrated writer. His credits as Mark Twain include the Opryland Convention Center in Nashville, the Royal York in Toronto, and the Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis. He has also performed aboard the Delta Queen, Mississippi Queen, and American Queen Riverboats, as well as radio and television.
Peter Lebrón is Hannibal’s newest Mark Twain impersonator. Although Lebrón is just stepping out onto the stage, he has long been a Mark Twain enthusiast, and is bringing a fresh take to this humorous show.
