Mark Twain Birthplace State Historic Site has the two-room rented cabin where Samuel Clemens was born. It features first editions of many of the author’s works, a handwritten manuscript of The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, and many of the furnishings from Twain’s Connecticut home.
The site also has a public reading room for personal study and research.
